The long-time head coach of the University of Saskatchewan women’s basketball program made history on Saturday night in Edmonton.
By securing a 91-35 victory against the Griffins, Lisa Thomaidis recorded her 345th victory and officially set the record for the most wins as a coach in Canada West’s women’s basketball history. The win means Thomaidis surpassed Deb Huband, the legendary University of British Columbia head coach, who had 344 career victories.
