Police seized a wide selection of weapons after executing a search warrant at a home in Saskatoon.
According to police, a 41-year-old man and 34-year-old woman were arrested on Tuesday afternoon by the police force’s Gangs & Guns Unit on Avenue Q South.

“A search warrant was later conducted at a residence in the area that resulted in the seizure of two modified prohibited firearms and several other weapons, including bear spray and knives,” the police service said in a statement.
Images shared by police showed the extensive collection of weapons, which appeared to include a replica of a sword used in the Lord of the Rings film series, several knives and batons, a throwing star, various types of ammunition and what appeared to be a homemade spear made with a stick and electrical tape.
“The man and woman are facing a total of 13 weapons-related charges, including Possession of Dangerous Weapon, Carry Concealed Weapon, Careless Storage of Firearm, Prohibited Possession of Firearm, Possession of Prohibited Firearm and Ammunition, and Unauthorized Possession of Firearm,” the police service noted.
