Two people are in custody after callers to Saskatoon police reported they heard shots fired in the Mayfair neighbourhood of the city on Friday.
Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) said in a news release that officers were called the 1300 block of Avenue B North around 2 p.m. on Dec. 27, after residents reported hearing gun shots and then seeing a suspicious man and a suspicious vehicle.

Police found a Dodge minivan, which they said had been reported stolen, outside an apartment building in the 1100 block of Avenue W North and arrested a man and woman found inside the building. The man had a 9mm pistol at the time of his arrest, SPS added.
No one was injured, police said, and SPS is continuing to investigate. Police made no mention of anyone charged in the incident.
