A 17-year-old from Saskatoon is facing manslaughter and dangerous weapon charges after a shooting that resulted in the death of Jordan Wright in North Battleford in February.
Saskatchewan RCMP said in a news release on Monday the youth was arrested in Regina on Dec. 12. He appeared in Regina Provincial Court on Dec. 13, and cannot be named because of his age.

After 11 months of investigation, officers arrested Xavier Lonesinger of North Battleford, 26, at Saskatoon Provincial Correctional Centre last Saturday and charged him with the first-degree murder of Wright.
North Battleford RCMP responded to a shooting at a home on 93rd Street on Feb. 2 and located Wright, who was later declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
The police later found that two men entered a home armed with weapons, resulting in a confrontation where Wright was shot. The suspects ran away on foot, prompting police officers and Police Dog Services to search the areas.
The investigation continues, RCMP said.
Anyone with information about Jordan Wright’s death should contact Saskatchewan RCMP at 310-RCMP, their local police service or inform Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or at saskcrimestoppers.com.
