The police later found that two men entered a home armed with weapons, resulting in a confrontation where Wright was shot. The suspects ran away on foot, prompting police officers and Police Dog Services to search the areas.
After 11 months of investigation, officers arrested Lonesinger at Saskatoon Provincial Correctional Centre last Saturday and charged him with first-degree murder.
He was scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Monday.
The investigation continues.
