A 50-year-old woman from Hudson Bay is dead after a single vehicle incident on Highway 9 on Thursday.
Hudson Bay RCMP said in a news release on Friday that officers were called about 5:40 a.m. on Dec. 5, and found a vehicle left Highway 9 and came to rest at the bottom of an embankment.

The woman was found nearby and declared dead by paramedics at the scene. Police said her family had been notified. A man also received medical care for injuries that were not considered life threatening, police said.
Highway 9 was closed during initial investigation and has since re-opened. Saskatchewan RCMP continues to investigate.
