For Christmas shoppers tired of fighting for parking spots, or those without a vehicle who want to hit Saskatoon’s five malls during the holiday season, there’s a way to do that.
For the eighth year in a row, Saskatoon Transit’s Jingle Bell Express — otherwise known as “Route 1225” — begins today as a way to travel between the malls.
According to the city, two buses will run in opposite directions on weekends between Midtown, Confederation, Lawson Heights, Centre and Market malls.
Service begins at 10:30 a.m. and goes until 5:30 p.m. on weekends only. Regular fares apply.
The exception to that will be on Boxing Day, Tuesday Dec. 26., when that route will be free for all riders.
There will be no service on the route Dec. 28 and 29.
More information on route times and stop locations can be found here.
