The Regina Pats have made another trade.
After trading captain Tanner Howe to the Calgary Hitmen last week, the WHL club has now dealt forward Cole Temple to the Everett Silvertips for forward Julien Maze.
Temple, 17, has 12 points (four goals, eight assists) in 22 games with Regina this season. Last year as a 16 year old, he had 19 points (six goals, 13 assists) in 57 games. The Brandon, Man., product was drafted by the Pats fifth overall in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft.
“First off, I’d like to thank Cole Temple for his time with the Pats, and wish him the best in Everett,” Regina Pats VP, Hockey Operations and GM Alan Millar said in a news release.
“We are pleased to add Julien Maze to our hockey club. Julien has very good puck skills, vision and hockey sense. He will play an important role on our team, and we look forward to him developing with our young core.”
Maze, 16, has 19 points (six goals, 13 assists) in 21 games with the Silvertips this season. He was taken 20th overall in the 2022 WHL draft.
The Pats are on a lengthy road trip right now due to Agribition taking place at the Brandt Centre. The Pats’ next home game is Dec. 13 against the Saskatoon Blades.
