For three days, Tamara Fournier has been walking through deep snow, calling for her lost dog, Bella.
Over the weekend, Saskatoon saw around 25 centimetres of snow, but the storm hasn’t stopped Fournier from searching. She says she’ll keep up the search until her black Pomeranian is back home.

Fournier said she brought Bella to a groomer on Friday, but the dog was reported missing after she was let out by a customer and escaped through the building’s fence.
The following day, a significant storm swept the province, leaving Fournier and a handful of volunteers trudging through the snow from early in the morning until late at night.
“I’ll be honest – I’m sick to my stomach,” she said. “I pray that she was scooped up at this point, hopefully to keep her warm.”
Fournier said she’s thankful to the volunteers who have helped buy traps, put up flyers, and have even looked into high-tech options like thermal imaging with drones and cameras.
“We are doing everything and anything in our power to bring Bella back home,” she said.
The weekend storm has closed multiple schools around the city, as crews and contractors work hard at work to clear snow from the streets. But the deep snow and tricky road conditions haven’t stopped Fournier, who said she’s was outside for nearly 40 hours trying to find Bella over the weekend.
“I’m currently standing inside downtown Midtown mall, warming up and continuing my search,” she said on Monday morning.
“I am tired, (but) I am still very much motivated. Today I have hope,” she said.
Fournier said community members have reached out to report possible sightings of her dog in areas like Saskatchewan Crescent, Riversdale, and Idylwyld Drive.
The owner said she’s offering a $2,300 cash reward for anyone who can help bring Bella home.
“I’m not giving up, and I refuse to give up until I have any news regarding my Bella,” Fournier said.
