A crash on Highway 4 just north of North Battleford left two people dead on Friday evening.
According to a release from the Saskatchewan RCMP, released on Monday afternoon, a car and truck collided about eight kilometres north of the city at around 6:30 p.m.

“The driver and passenger of the car were both declared deceased by EMS at the scene,” the RCMP explained.
“They have been identified as a 35-year-old male from North Battleford and a 35-year-old female from Douglas, SK. Their families have been notified.”
The truck driver, meanwhile, was taken to hospital by paramedics with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, the RCMP said, with the help of a collision reconstruction expert.
