Storm makes travel risky over much of Saskatchewan

As the weekend storm continues over much of Saskatchewan, ice, loose snow, swirling snow, and drifting snow are affecting many provincial highways.

Roads that were risky for motorists include Highway 1 from the Manitoba border to Whitewood, Whitewood to Indian Head, Regina to Moose Jaw, Moose Jaw to Swift Current and Swift Current to Carmichael, where travel was not recommended.

Highway 1 from Indian Head to Regina and Carmichael to the Alberta border has ice, heavy snow, and drifting snow but the provincial travel agency stopped short of recommending no travel on these portions of road.
