Four teens were arrested and charged with assault after an incident in downtown Saskatoon on Monday night.
Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) said in a news release on Monday that three girls aged 13, 14, and 15 and one 12-year-old boy were charged, and an 11-year-old was also arrested but is unable to be charged under the Criminal Code of Canada.
SPS said officers were called to the 200 block of 23rd Street East around 11:20 p.m. on Oct. 28 after receiving a report that a group of youths were assaulting two girls.
SPS called in the police plane, which spotted the assault in progress before the group ran away.
Officers on the ground found a girl with injuries consistent with an assault, and the police plane helped them locate the suspects, who police said were arrested without further incident.
Police supplied no information about the victim’s age, injuries or condition.
