A school bus crash southwest of Tisdale on Monday afternoon left 28 people injured on Monday afternoon, including the driver and all 27 of the children who were on board the bus at the time.
According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, 21 of the children – who range in age from approximately 14 to 17 – suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while six others suffered serious injuries. One of the children was airlifted to hospital by STARS Air Ambulance, while the remainder were taken for treatment by paramedics and parents.

The adult driver of the bus also suffered serious injuries, the Mounties added.
No further information on the injuries could be shared, as the RCMP said those details are considered personal health information.
The crash, which involved students attending Tisdale Middle & Secondary School, happened just before 4 p.m. on Monday.
The Mounties said police can not yet provide details on the potential cause of the crash, but thanked all of those who assisted in the aftermath.
“Tisdale RCMP thanks the first responders who assisted in the response to the collision, including Melfort RCMP and Melfort, Tisdale and Naicam EMS,” the RCMP said in a statement.
“Thank you to the teachers, parents, and community members of Kinistin Saulteaux Nation who offered their support at the scene.”
After the crash, the bus was upright in a ditch near the intersection of Township Road 424 and Range Road 2160, approximately 22 kilometers southwest of Tisdale, SK.
While the route was closed after the crash, it was open to traffic again on Tuesday morning.
