A 76-year-old man suffered what police described as “life-altering injuries” in a fall down the stairs on Friday, and a woman is now facing charges for allegedly pushing him.
According to police, officers were called to Overholt Crescent, in Saskatoon’s Arbor Creek neighbourhood, just before midnight on Friday for a report that a man had fallen down the stairs.

Police said the 76-year-old man was taken to hospital by paramedics for treatment, and the investigators also got more information about what allegedly led to the fall.
“Officers learned that a domestic dispute had occurred and that the victim may have been pushed down the stairs,” the police service said in a statement.
“Following continued investigation, a 64-year-old woman was arrested later that night and faces charges relating to aggravated assault.”
