Who am I voting for in the provincial election?
Each Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) represents a specific geographic area of Saskatchewan in the legislative assembly. Their job is to be a voice for their constituency in the provincial government and are usually the first point of contact for people to reach out to.
There are currently seven parties vying to form the next Saskatchewan government.
- Buffalo Party of Saskatchewan
- New Democratic Party, Sask. Section
- Progressive Conservative Party of Saskatchewan
- Saskatchewan Green Party
- Saskatchewan Party
- Saskatchewan Progress Party
- Saskatchewan United Party
The Sask. Party has 42 seats, giving it a majority government under Premier Scott Moe. The NDP controls 14 seats, making it the official opposition. Independent MLAs hold three seats, the Sask. United Party has just one seat, and one seat is currently vacant.
When is the provincial election?
- The election will be held on October 28.
Who can vote?
In order to vote, a person must be:
- a Canadian citizen;
- at least 18 years old; and
- be a resident of Saskatchewan for at minimum six months before the election.

How can I vote?
There are four ways to vote:
- in-person (employers must give eligible voters three consecutive hours to go vote);
- by mail;
- homebound voting; and
- voting in a recognized facility.
