A nine-month investigation into high level drug traffickers by the Saskatoon Police Service Drug Unit concluded with the arrest of five people.
Police arrested a 27-year-old man on Oct. 6 near a business in the 3000 block of Meadows Parkway.
In a news release police say “The remaining accused were arrested a short time later.”
A 36-year-old, a 27-year-old and a 57-year-old are facing charges related to kilogram level cocain trafficking.
The 27-year-old is also facing charges in relation to kilogram level methamphetamine trafficking, along with a 34-year-old.
Police said a 24-year-old is charged with drug trafficking charges at the multi ounce level.
According to the release Saskatoon police seized:
- 4219 grams of cocaine
- 2974 grams of methamphetamine
- $16,050 CAD
- 4528 grams buffing agent
- 9 mm carbine rifle
- Prohibited Colt 38 revolver
- Ammunition
- Cocaine Press
- Scales, vacuum sealers, money counter
- Cellular phones

The following residences were searched by police, including a buisness in the 2900 block of Faithful Avenue.
- 700 block of Brightsand Crescent
- 100 block of Pawlychenko Lane
- 200 block of SIimmon Road
- 800 block of Kristjanson Road
