Police officers in Saskatoon are investigating “a string of separate assaults with blunt objects” that happened on Tuesday night.
The first incident saw officers called to a park on McMillan Avenue just before 6 p.m. for a report saying a man had been hit in the face with a golf club.

“Arriving officers located the injured man and noticed a laceration to his chin,” the police service said in a statement. “He was transported to hospital.”
The second report came in just after 6 p.m. Police were called to a home on Appleby Drive for a report that a man had been struck with a hammer. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment, police said, and officers believe the victim and suspect knew each other prior to the alleged attack.
The third incident happened later that same night, when officers were called to a business in the 2400 block of 22nd Street West.
“It is believed the man was assaulted by four unknown individuals while being struck by a hammer,” the police service explained. “The man was transported to hospital with serious injuries.”
All three incidents remain under investigation, the police service noted.
