Saturday Saskatoon police chase ended with man, 24, in custody

On Saturday, a police chase ended with backed-up traffic on Warman Road near the Circle Drive overpass.
According to the news release, Saskatoon Police Service located around 9:30 a.m. a vehicle that had earlier evaded them.
Officers started following the vehicle that was driving Westbound on 33rd Street West near Avenue P North, while Air Support Unit monitored.
The driver fled at a high rate of speed throughout Saskatoon, tire deflation device was deployed on Warman Road near Cavers Street. After crashing into another vehicle near the Circle Drive overpass, the driver fled on foot.
A 24-year-old man was charged with:
evading police,
impaired driving,
dangerous driving,
obstructing police,
possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine),
and failure to comply with court ordered conditions.
