A 53-year-old woman is dead after her truck collided with a semi near Dafoe on Friday.
Wynyard RCMP said in a news release that woman was from North Vancouver, B.C. and her family has been notified.
Police said they received a report about the collision on Highway 16 about two kilometres north of Dafoe on Sept. 20, around 8:50 p.m.
Police said the woman was the sole occupant of the truck and was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening. STARS Air Ambulance was at the scene.
Highway 16 was closed during the initial investigation but re-opened on Sunday after a collision reconstructionist from Saskatchewan RCMP examined the scene.
Wynyard RCMP said they are continuing to investigate, with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
Dafoe is southwest of Big Quill Lake on Highways 6 and 16. The village has a 24-hour gas station and restaurant.
