A 34-year-old man was arrested early Friday morning after allegedly attempting to set a fire at an RV park just outside Saskatoon.
According to police, officers were called to the park at Highway 16 and Auction Mart Road, just north of the city, at around 1:45 a.m.

“Upon arrival, officers located a man spreading what appeared to be an accelerant and attempting to ignite it,” the Saskatoon Police Service explained in a statement.
“The male had reportedly been involved in an altercation with a woman and then with a second male. The woman suffered minor physical injuries.”
The 34-year-old man is now facing charges of attempted arson, possession of an incendiary device and assault. Police said he was scheduled to appear before a Justice of the Peace on Friday afternoon.
