“Upon entering the residence, officers located three deceased individuals,” the RCMP said in a statement.
“It appears that this was a targeted and isolated incident.”
On Monday, police identified the three people as Brent Peters, 66, Matthew Peters, 32, and Brennan Peters, 34.
While very few details have been released, the deaths were called “murders” in an RCMP statement.
The Mounties added that the case has raised concerns in Lloydminster.
“Please be assured that our officers are fully committed to solving this case and bringing those responsible to justice,” the RCMP noted.
“While the investigation is ongoing, we want to emphasize that there is no ongoing threat to the public.”
The RCMP asked anyone with information on the deaths to contact the Lloydminster RCMP detachment or make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.
