Two people were arrested in Saskatoon on Wednesday for allegedly swinging pieces of metal.
In the first case, police said a 45-year-old Saskatoon man was arrested at around 11 a.m. on Wednesday after allegedly swinging a metal bar inside a store on Avenue P South, hitting merchandise and threatening a staff member before taking off.

Police said the man was found in the area and arrested. He’s now facing charges of assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, and uttering threats.
The second incident happened at around 2:30 p.m., when police were called to the area of 20th Street West and Avenue I South.
“Witnesses reported seeing a man armed with a large pole, striking vehicles and swinging at passersby,” the Saskatoon Police Service explained in a statement.
“Upon arrival, the suspect was located, still in possession of the pole, in the 300 block of Avenue I South. He was taken into custody and found to wanted on an outstanding warrant.”
Police said the 31-year-old Saskatoon man is now charged with possession of a dangerous weapon.
Nobody was injured in either incident, police noted.
