Saskatoon police have now arrested a 32-year-old man concerning the gunshot on Friday morning.
Police patrol arrested the Saskatoon man on September 1 and located ammunition on him.
This all stemmed from a call police received regarding a different firearms incident.
Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) said in a news release that officers were called to 22nd Street West and Avenue I North in Westmount around 9 a.m. after a report of a woman pointing a firearm at another woman and hitting her with it.
A 36-year-old woman was charged with pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence, carrying a concealed weapon, assault with a weapon, and possession of false identity documents.

While at the scene, officers also found a spent 9mm cartridge case on the ground nearby, SPS said, leading to officers reviewing video footage from a business in the area.
The video showed a confrontation between two men around 8 a.m., police said, where one man had a knife and the other discharged a firearm. Both men then left the area.
