A youth is facing manslaughter and firearm charges in connection with the shooting death of an 18-year-old in Wolseley.
According to the RCMP, officers from the Indian Head detachment were called to a home in Wolseley – east of Regina – at around 4 a.m. on Sunday morning for a reported shooting.

The officers found an injured woman at the home, and she was declared dead by paramedics at the scene.
“She has been identified as 18-year-old Keilia Windigo from Wolseley,” the RCMP said in a statement. “Her family has been notified.”
Police said “a youth male” from Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation was arrested at the scene, but didn’t share his age. He’s been charged with one count of manslaughter with a firearm, along with numerous firearm charges.
He was scheduled to appear in a Regina courtroom on Monday, the RCMP said.
According to a GoFundMe page set up by a family friend to raise money for a funeral service, Windigo died on her 18th birthday.
“Keilia just graduated high school and had many aspirations,” Natasha Sutherland wrote on the crowdfunding website.
“She was very successful and was going to accomplish many things in her life. Which was tragically cut way too short.”
