A raid in Saskatoon earlier this month netted massive amounts of drugs and cash for police.
Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) said in a news release on Tuesday that the operation on Aug. 1 saw around 26 kg of methamphetamine, 1 kg of heroin, 9 kg of cocaine as well as around $43,000 in cash.
SPS said other smaller quantities of other illegal drugs were also found, including psilocybin (mushrooms), around 1 kg of MDMA, and over 1,000 Xanax pills.
The raids, conducted jointly by RCMP Federal Policing Northwest Region and Saskatoon Police Service, saw officers execute search warrants at two homes and on two vehicles in Shillington Crescent and Eastview.
Two Saskatoon men have been charged and were scheduled to appear in court in Saskatoon on Sep. 19.
A 39-year-old man facesĀ two chargesĀ for possession of cocaine for trafficking, possession of cash over $5,000 obtained by crime, and a 31-year-old man faces charges including possession of methamphetamine for trafficking, possession of cocaine for trafficking, possession of meth for trafficking, and possessing of psilocybin for trafficking.
Police said the criminal investigation is ongoing.
