Saskatchewan RCMP is hunting for a man charged with assault causing bodily harm.
RCMP said in a news release on Saturday 39-year-old Valance Wapass from Onion Lake Cree Nation is also wanted on other charges and warrants have been issued for his arrest.
Wapass is described as 6-foot-2 and weighing 205 lbs. He has brown eyes and short black hair and a large visible injury on his face. He also has his last name tattooed on his upper left arm and a feather tattooed on his left wrist.
Wapass is known to travel to the communities of Thunderchild First Nation, Onion Lake Cree Nation, and Lloydminster. He may be travelling in a white coloured minivan, police said.
Do not approach Wapass, police warned, and anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Saskatchewan RCMP at 310-RCMP or to inform Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or at saskcrimestoppers.com.
