Police have charged two women after two separate incidents in Saskatoon this week.
A 28-year-old woman is facing charges after an incident where a woman was attacked with a bat on Monday.
Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) said in a news release on Tuesday that officers were called to 20th Street West and Avenue E South around 10:30 a.m. on July 15 and found the victim suffering from “what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.”
Police said the victim declined medical attention and officers arrested the 28-year-old nearby. She is now facing charges relating to assault with a weapon, and obstructing police.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old woman arrested on Tuesday morning is also facing assault charges.
SPS said that officers were called around 8:20 a.m. on July 16 to the 200 block of 1st Avenue South for a report of a disturbance and a report that security staff had been assaulted.
Police found the woman in the custody of security, and she was then charged.
