The RCMP thanked those who have volunteered information, which helped the investigation progress.
“Significant advancements in these types of investigations would not be possible without the help of witnesses and community members coming forward,” Corporal Tanya Gordon, with the RCMP’s Historical Case Unit, said in a statement.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation was asked to contact the Saskatchewan RCMP or make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.
The Muskeg Lake Cree Nation is located just north of Blaine Lake.
