“An adult male was removed from the water and declared deceased by EMS at the scene. His family has been notified,” the RCMP said in a statement.
Police said his death is under investigation by the Saskatchewan Coroners Service along with the RCMP, but said additional details on the man’s death won’t be released.
“At this time, this is considered a sudden death investigation, therefore we will not be releasing any further information,” the RCMP’s statement read.

A teen canoeist was also found dead this month by the RCMP’s Underwater Recovery Team after he failed to resurface when his vessel tipped over on Lake Helene.
On Sunday, a man died on Waskesiu Lake in an apparent drowning after going into distress.
