A 31-year-old man is facing a charge of assault with a weapon after allegedly attacking another man using a coffee pot.
Police said officers were called to an assault in progress early on Sunday morning at a home on Avenue T South in Pleasant Hill.

According to police, the arriving officers saw the 31-year-old assaulting a 59-year-old man, and an investigation determined that the younger man had struck the victim with a coffee pot.
The 31-year-old has been charged with assault with a weapon. Police didn’t note any injuries in the case, but said the victim is recovering.
