Saskatchewan’s number-one sports show is adding a hall-of-fame journalist to its roster.
Dave Naylor is now The Green Zone’s CFL insider.
“I’m excited to be joining The Green Zone and having a regular presence on Saskatchewan radio for the first time since my CBC Regina days of the 1990s,” Naylor said.
“Those times deepened my understanding of the CFL and its most ravenous fan base. Can’t wait to be connecting with them throughout the year on CFL and beyond.”
He will bring his insider knowledge to The Green Zone every week, delivering breaking news and analysis to Saskatchewan listeners.

As one of the best-connected journalists covering the league, Roughrider fans will get to hear from one of the best as Naylor delves into the topics at the top of people’s minds along with The Green Zone’s hosts, Jamie Nye and Drew Remenda.
And it’s not just the three-down game Naylor will provide insight on.
Having covered 16 Super Bowls, along with multiple NFL camps and games, Naylor will also add another perspective about the American game as well.
Jamie Nye said he’s thrilled to have Naylor on board.
“Dave is one of the most respected and connected people in sports, and brings a wealth of knowledge to our show, and over the years we have built an incredible rapport on the air,” said Nye.
“The back-and-forths I’ve had with Dave are among my favourite conversations. To bring that to our audience on a more regular basis will be great for us and our listeners.”
Naylor has covered Canadian football for more than three decades, beginning with the Globe and Mail in 1991.
After time with the CBC – which included some time spent in Saskatchewan – and as a freelancer, Naylor re-joined the Globe and Mail in late 2000. He covered the NHL, CFL and NFL, and began making regular appearances on TSN in 2003 before joining the network on a full-time basis in 2010.
Naylor has covered 26 Grey Cups, 11 NHL playoffs, the NBA playoffs, and three Olympics. He’s been nominated three times for a Canadian Screen Award.
He has co-authored two books: The 100 Greatest Hockey Arguments and 50 Super Bowls: the Greatest Moments of the Biggest Game in Sports.
Naylor was inducted into the media wing of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
The Green Zone is live on weekdays from 2-6 p.m. on 980 CJME and 650 CKOM.
