When people ask Rhonda Graham and Mark Knox why they decided to get married on The Evan Bray Show, they respond with a question of their own: “Why not?”
“It’s different,” said Mark. “Lots of people get married, but not on the radio!”
The couple exchanged vows during the live radio program on Friday.
The Martensville couple met online in September of 2020.
Mark, 58, came across Rhonda’s dating profile and sent her a message.
Little did he know, Rhonda, 57, had sworn off of online dating just days before.
“I was done. I had (gone) on a few dates, and they were horrific,” she said.
She saw Mark’s message come in and took a look at his profile, but didn’t respond at first.
“When I saw her profile, I just had a feeling she was the one,” said Mark.
“Then when she didn’t answer for two days, I thought ‘Huh, maybe she isn’t the one,'” he laughed.
As the days went by, Rhonda kept thinking about the man who had reached out. She eventually decided to give him a chance.
“We started talking and I said ‘Look, no games here. Let’s just meet for coffee and it’s either going to be right, or it’s not,'” said Rhonda.
The couple met at a coffee shop in Martensville, and sparks flew.
“It was a five-hour date,” said Rhonda. “It was perfect.”

Rhonda said the love between her and Mark is unlike anything she has experienced before.
“You can love somebody, but to be in love … that’s really different. I’ve never had that before,” she said. “There’s a lot of people I love in my life, but I am in love with Mark.”
For Mark, his relationship with Rhonda feels like a dream come true.
“I’ve seen other couples who hold hands while walking down the street and that kind of stuff, and I thought ‘Oh, that must be nice, but in reality that doesn’t happen,'” said Mark. “Until it happens to you. Then wow – what a feeling.”
Mark proposed to Rhonda last March at the same coffee shop where they had their first date.
Rhonda said she was incredibly surprised by the proposal. When Mark got down on one knee, Rhonda asked if he had dropped a pen or if he had hurt himself – a memory they look back on with smiles on their faces.
“We are always laughing about something,” said Rhonda. “We’re going to have a good life. For whatever time is left, we are going to live it up.”
The couple is holding a celebration in June with a friend as the officiant, and reached out to marriage commissioner Ari Avivi to legally marry them before the big day.
Avivi, who appeared on John Gormley Live annually for a conversation leading up to wedding season, called the couple and asked if they were interested in joining him for his first appearance on The Evan Bray Show, with their legal marriage taking place on the air.
“I thought ‘Oh my gosh, that’s fun!'” said Rhonda.
The couple said they’re thrilled to have such a unique wedding to look back on, and they look forward to spending many more years enjoying unique experiences together as they enter married life.
“Both of us said we’d never get married again, but here we are,” Mark laughed. “Love changes your mind.”
