Drivers in the north end of Saskatoon will have to put up with some congestion as a major road project begins.
On Monday, the city began work on a new section of a sewer line. When complete, the line will connect the Hampton Village business park near the airport to the lift station on Spadina Crescent.
“That’s going to weave its way through the industrial area,” Matt Jurkiewicz, the city’s director of construction and design, told the 650 CKOM Morning Show.

The most significant impact on traffic will be the closure of the southbound Warman Road exit ramp onto Circle Drive westbound.
“Most if it is being done with only local restrictions, but we have to pop under that entire overpass structure,” Jurkiewicz said, noting that access to Circle Drive will be closed for at least two weeks.
It’s the second significant road project to start this spring in the city.
On Monday, the city began the second phase of the water main maintenance project on College Drive between Cumberland Avenue and Clarence Avenue.
The city anticipates completion in early fall.
