A 25-year-old man is dead after a shooting in Saskatoon’s Pleasant Hill neighbourhood.
According to police, officers were called to the 200 block of Avenue O South just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday for a reported shooting.
“Upon arrival, officers located a 25-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement. “The victim was taken to the Royal University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.”

The death is now being investigated as Saskatoon’s eighth homicide of 2024, police said.
Police had part of 20th Street closed during the investigation on Tuesday morning, with drivers being routed around the scene.
