Spring has just begun, but campers in Saskatchewan can start making campsite reservations next week.
Seasonal campsite reservations in provincial parks open on Monday, while bookings for nightly, Camp Easy and group campsites open between next Tuesday and April 9, along with bookings for swimming lessons.
The fees for park entry, swimming and camping are unchanged for 2024.
Campsites can be booked through the provincial parks website, which includes new features this year to improve its functionality.
“Campers are encouraged to set up or log in to their online account in advance so that they can quickly identify their favourite campsites and start planning their trip on reservation launch day,” the Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport said in a statement.

“Campers are reminded there is a queuing system in place, and they need to refresh the page at 7 a.m. to be placed in the queue or pushed through to make a reservation on launch day.”
This year, the parks have 28 new seasonal sites available in Buffalo Pound, Candle Lake, Echo Valley, Greenwater Lake and Meadow Lake provincial parks. The Camp Easy tents at Cypress Hills have been upgraded to yurts, and a new reservation pavilion is set to open at Rowan’s Ravine.
“These expansions are a testament to the allure of our natural landscapes,” Laura Ross, Saskatchewan’s minister of parks, culture and sport, said in a statement.
“With exciting events on the horizon, there’s never been a better time to explore our parks and discover the beauty and adventure they have to offer.”
