The occupant of a house in Major suffered minor injuries after shots were fired at a house in that community early Sunday.
According to the RCMP, a call came in at around 2:20 a.m. reporting that someone had shot a gun at a house.
“Investigation determined an unknown individual or individuals discharged two to three rounds from a firearm, striking the residence,” the RCMP said in a release. “One bullet entered the residence, striking a piece of furniture.
“An occupant reported a non-life-threatening injury to police, which was treated by EMS at the scene.”
Major is about 80 kilometres northwest of Kindersley.
