A 24-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with Saskatoon’s fourth homicide of 2024.
According to police, officers were called to the 200 block of 20th Street West on Monday afternoon for a report of a stabbing. Police said the suspect had already fled when officers arrived at the scene in the Riversdale neighbourhood.
The 35-year-old victim was taken to hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
On Tuesday, police said they had arrested the suspect and charged him with murder as well as breaching a probation order. He’s expected to make his first court appearance Wednesday.

Saskatoon has recorded four murders in just over two weeks. Police also are investigating another suspicious death in the city that occurred Monday.
