A man who was in custody at the Willow Cree Healing Lodge is now on the run.
Nigel Ferster was one of two inmates unaccounted for when staff at the minimum-security federal institution conducted their count on Sunday afternoon.
Ricky Black was later apprehended by Rosthern RCMP in Duck Lake.
Correctional Service of Canada continues to work with police to locate Ferster.
He is 28 years old, five-foot-five in height and weighs 270 pounds. He has a fair complexion, hazel eyes and black hair.
Ferster is serving a sentence of two years and 14 days for break and enter with intent, flight from a peace officer, dangerous operation of a conveyance and possession of break-in instruments.
Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Ferster was asked to contact the police.
Correctional Service of Canada said it will investigate the circumstances of this incident.
Willow Cree Healing Lodge is located about six kilometres west of Duck Lake.
