According to police, the 14-foot Ford U-Haul has the Arizona licence plate AE05517. Anyone who spots the truck was asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
Police said they’re looking for the truck in connection with a murder investigation that began on Saturday when officers were called to a house on Lisgar Avenue for a reported aggravated assault.
Inside the home, officers found a dead man. His identity and cause of death have not yet been released, but police said the case marks Saskatoon’s first homicide of 2024.
A 32-year-old woman has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the man’s death.
As officers were executing a search warrant at the home, an officer discharged their gun. A 34-year-old man was injured and taken to hospital as a result.
Saskatchewan’s Serious Incident Response Team is investigating the case as well, due to the serious injury sustained by the 34-year-old.
