The Saskatchewan’s Serious Incident Response Team (SIRT) is investigating an officer-involved shooting and suspicious death in Saskatoon.
The incident happened in the early-morning hours on Saturday in the 600 block of Lisgar Avenue.
It comes after a search warrant related to aggravated assault involving firearms. During the search, a Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) member discharged their firearm.
A 34-year-old male suspect suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to hospital. He is believed to be in stable condition.
Two women were also arrested at the scene.
Officers also located a dead body inside the residence. The death is considered suspicious. The SPS Major Crime Section is investigating.
Traffic restrictions are expected to be in place in the Lisgar Avenue area for some time. Police are asking members of the public to avoid the area.
