In that case, officers were called to an address on 22nd Street West where they found an 18-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to one of his legs. He was taken to hospital by paramedics, and police noted that the gunshot wasn’t believed to be life-threatening.
“The suspect had fled the scene prior to police arrival, and no suspect description is available at this time,” police said in a statement.
Both shootings are under investigation by the Serious Assault Unit. The police service asked anyone with information – or surveillance footage – that might help the investigation to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
