The extreme cold warnings are back for parts of Saskatchewan.
Environment Canada has issued the warnings due to the wind chill dropping to between -40 C and -45 C Wednesday night and into Thursday afternoon.
The warning blankets much of central Saskatchewan and the southeastern corner as well. Areas that are under the warning include the cities of Regina, Saskatoon, Lloydminster, as well as many other areas in the province. A full list of the areas included can be found on the Environment Canada website.
Environment Canada said frostbite can occur within minutes on exposed skin due to this weather. It adds extreme cold puts everyone at risk as well as pets.
