8:30 – Almost a year and a half after the most deadly rampage in Saskatchewan’s history, the first of two inquests into the James Smith Cree Nation tragedy is beginning. Lisa Schick joins Evan Bray to explain what the week will look like and what is expected to come out of this inquest.

9:00 – Saskatchewan was recently among the worst provinces to perform in a test estimating students’ school performances, with students in the province ranking second-worst in the country for math scores. Saskatchewan students also under-performed in reading. Michael Zwaagstra is a senior fellow with the Fraser Institute, a public high school teacher and an education policy researcher. He joins Evan to discuss what could be hurting the performance of students in the province.

12:00 – Fans of Dancing with the Stars will be thrilled to hear the show is inspiring a Regina fundraising event. Swinging with the Stars is coming up on January 20th, pairing eight of the city’s most influential people with professional dancers to spend hours and months rehearsing a choreographed routine to perform in front of a live audience. Proceeds of the event are going to support Hope’s Home, a charity that provides necessary care for children and families with complex needs. Evan will be reclaiming his place as a judge at the event and Jenn Dean joins him to talk about what this year’s competition will look like.
