As the Western Canadian Crop Production show in Saskatoon wrapped up on Thursday, it was a time for agriculture businesses from all over to share their products with Saskatchewan farmers.
One business Thunderstruck AG shares farmers’ inventions with other farmers.
Thunderstruck AG, owner Jeremy Matuszwski said the very first product he put to market has changed the farming industry.
“These two brothers…, got really tired of dealing with plugged gauge wheels,” said Matuszwski. “They started cutting open wheels to see what would happen and what happened was, by putting a hole in the wheel it allowed the dirt and the mud and the residue to flow through.”
Matuszwski said almost every farm has this tool now.
Thunderstruck AG doesn’t just represent Canadian farmers they represent farmers from all over.
“The spoke gauge wheels come out of South Dakota, we got a replacement feeder drum invented by a farmer out of Australia,” said Matuszwski. “We represent farmers from all around the world and we distribute their products all around the world.”
Thunderstruck AG is still a relatively new company, only starting business in 2013, but Matuszwski said they’ve had a very good business motto that has helped them grow.
“We want something that’s really innovative so there’s not like a whole bunch out there,” said Matuszwski. “Something that’s quality, and we really want to represent good people.”
Thunderstruck AG has seen a bunch of changes since 2013, like a bigger booth at Western Crop Production show, as well as adding more clients over the years.
