Police in Saskatoon rang in the new year by responding to four separate stabbings, including three on New Year’s Day.
Officers were first called to Avenue I South on Friday afternoon, when they found a man suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to hospital.
Then, on Monday, police said two people turned up in hospital with stab wounds. According to police, neither of them co-operated with the officers.

A third incident happened around 9 p.m. on New Year’s Day, police said, when an unconscious man was found outdoors on Idylwyld Drive. He was also suffering from a stab wound, police said, and was taken for treatment.
None of the four stabbings was believed to cause life-threatening injuries, police said, and all the incidents are under investigation.
