A man is in a Regina hospital with life-threatening injuries after police believe he was hit by a vehicle on Friday night.
Around 7 p.m. on Dec. 29, Regina Police Service (RPS) officers responded to a report of an injured man in the back lane of the 1200 block of Athol Street in North Central.
When police arrived, they found the 47-year-old man who looked to have been hit by a vehicle. Nobody else had stayed back at the scene, however.
The man was taken by EMS to the hospital where he remains with serious, life-threatening injuries, according to a release from Regina police.
The RPS forensic identification unit and traffic collision investigators are working on the case. The scene has been cleared, although the area was shut down to traffic for a time while officers investigated.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and are asking anyone with information to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers.
