The Saskatoon Police Service is unveiling a new tool in hopes of solving an eight-year-old cold case.
On Friday, police released a podcast, Deals, Debts, & Death: The Disappearance of Kandice Singbeil. The five-part series — which can be heard here — looks into the 2015 unsolved disappearance of a 32-year-old woman.
Kandice Marie Singbeil was last seen riding a bike in downtown Saskatoon. Since then, investigators have spoken to numerous people and followed up on a number of tips, but without any luck.

Police said the podcast explores Singbeil’s life and her disappearance. It features interviews with her family members, retired and current police investigators, and other people from the community.
“Typically, we see technological advancements relating to forensics aid investigations, but we can’t overlook the opportunities afforded to us by new communication tools,” Acting Chief Cameron McBride said in a release.
“By introducing a podcast, we are exploring new communications mediums to reach as many people as possible in an effort to generate discussion, and hopefully new leads.”
The series also can be found on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and wherever people get their podcasts.
Anyone with information about Singbeil’s disappearance is asked to call Saskatoon police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
