An early-morning fire on Sunday in Saskatoon heavily damaged a home in the Westview neighbourhood.
Just before 1:30 a.m., fire crews arrived to find the home fully engulfed in flames and one person trapped in the backyard.
Firefighters got the person to safety without injury and got the fire under control shortly before 2 a.m.
The blaze originated inside the attached garage, but a fire investigator couldn’t determine a cause due to the instability of the structure.
Damage from the fire is estimated at $450,000.
