Santa has lost his presents and needs magical friends like Rudolph and the Sugar Plum Fairy to find them.
Glow’s indoor light festival theme this year is a fairy tale Christmas that will take visitors through a whimsical adventure of glistening lights at Prairieland Park.
Guylaine Patenaude, the signature events co-ordinator for Glow, said this year’s festival will be illuminated with more than one million lights. She said the power bill to light up the festival isn’t as high as one would think.
“Thankfully most (lights) are LED, so it’s not so bad,” she said with a laugh.
Some must-see attractions are the pumpkin carriage, the candy cane tunnel, the fairy tale castle, and splash fountain, Patenaude explained.
Additionally, the popular giant Christmas ornaments and hanging light icicles will make a return.
“They’re fascinating to see in person,” she said.
Patenaude said she’s looking forward to seeing the smiles and the Christmas spirit shine through at this year’s festival.
This year’s space has expanded by an extra 30,000 square feet, making room a longer train ride.
Glow runs until Dec. 30.
