A Saskatoon man was arrested Thursday morning after allegedly fleeing from police at high speeds in three separate stolen vehicles.
According to police, officers were called at 8:40 a.m. for a report of a stolen Audi S4 in the area of Circle Drive West and Avenue C North.
“Nearby officers quickly observed the vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed north out of Saskatoon,” police said in a statement.
“Officers on the ground strategically positioned themselves to maintain visual contact of the fleeing vehicle without engaging it while those in the air began monitoring its movements.”

The driver, still going at “dangerously high rates of speed,” headed toward Langham, where the man allegedly swapped vehicles by stealing a Hyundai Tucson. He took off again toward Dalmeny before heading into Warman.
In Warman, the man allegedly stole a third vehicle, a Dodge Ram 3500, and headed back into Saskatoon.
According to police, the driver crashed into a civilian vehicle at 71st Street East and Wanuskewin Road before driving “through the security gates of the Silverwood Golf Course.”
The driver allegedly took the Dodge through a park and onto the Meewasin Trail while members of the police Air Support Unit relayed his movements to officers following on the ground “as the suspect drove erratically through residential streets and parks.”
Ultimately, a police vehicle was used to disable the Dodge at Capilano Court, police said. The stolen truck came to a stop in the bushes at the bottom of an embankment, and the 37-year-old driver was arrested after a brief struggle.
“Throughout the duration of the incident, the suspect drove dangerously on highways and city streets; travelling in oncoming lanes of traffic and through parks or ditches with disregard for public safety,” Saskatoon police said in a statement.
“Assorted charges are pending in relation.”
